We got some new plants in the front East Stairs Garden, Hydrangeas in the "A Place to Park" Garden and a couple of new dwarf Butterfly Bushes in the Butterfly Garden. I can't wait to see them all in bloom next Summer.
We are making changes to the Secret Garden too. The Yews we lost over the winter have come down, and will be replaced by some lovely boxwoods. Keep a look out for a few new additions to that garden.
I have gotten a few requests for Adopt A Garden and am looking optimistic. I have updated the garden page to include a Plot map of all the gardens. Hopefully this will make Garden selection easier. I could also add a brief description of each garden, but I thought that would make it too lengthy. So let me know if you have any questions.
I do have visions for every garden, so you won't be at a complete loss no matter which garden you choose. But I am also open to suggestions. However the 18th garden (simply called the Miscellaneous Garden, because I don't know what to do with it) needs someone with a new vision. I am at a total loss with what to do with that garden. Currently it has just a mish mash of plants. Most pulled out of other gardens and plopped in there in an effort to save them.
Hope to see many faces at the last scheduled Thursday Night in the Garden this week. Sept 25th at 6:30pm.
Put on your calendars Saturday Oct. 18th as the Fall Cleanup Date. I am shooting for a 9 am start time. But I will send out an invite when the date gets closer.
