Our speaker will teach us the “SODAS” method which gives children a roadmap for learning how to solve problems and gives parents a step by step guide for teaching a child how to make good decisions.
SODAS stands for:
Situation: Help your child get a clear picture of the entire situation.
Options: Help your child come up with options for how to solve the problem.
Disadvantages and Advantages: Discuss with your child the pros (advantages) and cons (disadvantages) of each option.
Solution: Allow your child to think through the options, consider the long term consequences, and choose a solution to try.
We Hope to See you There!
