Middle School Info Night
Wednesday, November 7 at 6:30pm in the Dundee Elementary Library.
What is Middle School Info Night? It's an evening of easy conversation and Q&A with former Dundee students (and their parents) about the transition to junior high.
Part 1: Overview
The evening will start with an introduction of our panelists and then an overview of the basics about Lewis and Clark and McMillan (the most commonly attended schools of Dundee alumni). Information will be given about when you need to register, the process of choosing classes, etc.
Part 2: Q&A
The Dundee fourth, fifth, and sixth grade students will move to a separate classroom with the junior high students, where they can ask the questions they have (such as, what are the passing periods like? How do you find your locker? Are the lunches any better?), without mom and dad watching over their shoulders.
Meanwhile, the parents will remain in the library to ask the parents of the junior high students their (hopefully more complex) questions. (What has been the most difficult aspect of changing schools, and how can you help your student adapt?)
We would LOVE to have a list of questions ready for our panel speakers. Email your question or Submit your questions in the form below, and we will be sure they are answered that night! See you there!
Lewis & Clark is the home attendance area school for most Dundee Elementary students, but students are able to choose from any of the OPS middle schools. For information about the Partner Schools plan, click here.
